Roadmap for Instructional Excellence

 Roadmap to Instructional Excellence

The Roadmap to Instructional Excellence is the Burlington Area School District's planning document to ensure the college and career readiness of its graduates.  This document was collaboratively developed by members of the district's Management Team and is endorsed by the Board of Education.  The Roadmap serves as the lens through which the district will align its operations and make all major decisions.  As previously indicated, the target is college and career readiness for all graduates.  The "glue" that holds the plan together is the Professional Learning Communities Model.  The foundation of the plan is a culture of continuous improvement through dialogue and reflection.  The four major major components of the plan include the individual school improvement plans, student achievement, supervision and professional development, and data driven decisions regarding programs and resources.  Aspects of the plan are still in development, but the completed portions are included in links to the right on this page.
