Connie Zinnen was promoted to the position of Assistant Superintendent for Instructional Services with the Burlington Area School District in July of 2011 after serving as the district’s Director of Curriculum for the previous six years.
Zinnen earned her Master’s in Education degree from St. Mary’s (MN) University in 1994. She received her Superintendent’s License in 2010 from Cardinal Stritch University, where she also completed the Administrative Leadership program in 2004. Zinnen is currently enrolled in the doctoral program at Aurora University’s George Williams Campus.
Zinnen, a Burlington native, was the principal at the former Dover School from 2003-2005. She was an elementary teacher in the district for 18 years before joining the administrative ranks. Zinnen is a member of the Wisconsin Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development and the Association of Wisconsin School Administrators.
Zinnen’s primary responsibilities include coordination and oversight for the district’s staff development, school improvement, and assessment efforts.
