I have been part of the Burlington Area School District since 1981 working to help provide a clean, safe and healthy environment for learning to occur. As the Director of Building & Grounds, I am responsible for all custodial/maintenance operations and facility management. I also act as the safety coordinator for the school district.
My staff consist of my Administrative Assistant, 5 Building Engineers, 30 Custodians, of which 16 are full time and 14 are part time.
Our mission statement is to provide a clean, safe and healthy environment for learning to occur. To assist principals, teachers and students to help create the most positive atmosphere for learning.
We are focusing the custodial/maintenance department to ensure that what we do and how we do it, has the most positive outcome and is in alignment with our mission statement. The Maintenance Roadmap For Excellence will follow in the shadow cast by the Roadmap For Instructional Excellence to ensure alignment with district resources in meeting student needs.
