Effective Professional Learning Community At Work
Welcome to the Dyer School Improvement Plan page.
The document you see here is the result of a school-wide analysis of the current Dyer students' data from the Wisconsin Knowledge and Concepts Exam (WKCE) and the Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) assessment. The staff found areas on which we will focus in order to improve student achievement and promote growth. Those areas in reading are understand text and word meaning in context. In mathematics, we discovered the need to focus on instructional strategies to improve student achievement across the mathematics strands.
The Dyer School Improvement Plan (SIP) document is one part of the entire district's SIP. The goals connect to the Burlington Area School District's improvement plan. The Roadmap to Instructional Excellence goals will focus our work on professional learning communities, assessment literacy, and instructional strategies.
If you have questions, please contact the building principal, Mrs. Joyce Uglow or your child's homeroom teacher. We are all invested in making gains in student achievement! The old adage of "It takes a village to raise a child" is absolutely true. Dyer families, join us as we strive to help our students become college and career ready! Analyze, evaluate, extend! Care, Share, Dare to do your best in the quest for making a difference.
