Welcome to the BHS Bands and KMS 8th Grade Band website. The BHS Concert Band & Symphonic Band and the KMS 8th grade band meet daily as a regularly scheduled class. The literature for each band is selected from a wide variety of musical styles including music from other cultures as well as the American Wind Band tradition. Bands perform everything from band arrangements of current popular music to transcriptions of classics.

BHS PEP BAND- The BHS PEP BAND is a combination of the BHS Concert Band Members & the BHS Symphonic Band Members.  The Pep Band will perform at Football and Basketball games throughout the school year.  8th Grade Band members are invited to join the BHS Pep Band for Basketball Pep Band appearances.

BHS JAZZ BAND- The BHS JAZZ BAND is made up of 9th - 12th grade band members. The BHS Jazz Band meets every Tuesday and Thursday from 2:35-3:30.  Music selection is simiar to that of the band class.  Students will play musical styles from around the world but with an emphasis on the strong American tradition of jazz.  Am emphasis is put on the creativeness of improvisation.

KMS JAZZ BAND - The Karcher "WALL OF SOUND" jazz band is made up of both 7th and 8th grade band members. "WOS" is run as a club and meets every Monday after school from 2:30-3:15. Music selection is similar to that of the band class. Students will play musical styles from around the world but with an emphasis on the strong American tradition of jazz. An emphasis is put on the creativeness of improvisation.
