Hello and Welcome to Lyons Center!

I’m proud to be a part of this wonderful school community where all students will learn in a caring, safe and respectful environment. Our students are taught through the best research-based strategies to inquire about the world around them. Students become critical thinkers and build knowledge from connections to their own lives.

The staff is striving to build a professional learning community through collaboration and a focus on student learning. We try to continually improve instruction by reflecting on and adjusting our teaching using answers to the following questions:

1. What knowledge and skills do we want students to know?
2. How will we know when the students have learned these skills?
3. How will we respond when some students do not learn?
4. What will we do for those students who have already learned it?

Together all of us, students, parents, support staff, teachers and principal, form Lyons Center and collectively we make a difference in the success of our students.
