KhanTeaching the pythagorean theorem.
Brainpop Animated teaching of the pythagorean Theorem
Part 3: Solve realworld and mathematical problems involving volume of cylinders, cones, and spheres.
Another great lesson that we did this year was we collected 2 sets of 6 different cones, cyinders and spheres and then set up stations. The kids were taught the formulas and then given 34 minutes at each station to measure the necessary information and solve for the volume of that particular object. It was a great hands on lesson and the kids now really know what the height and radius of objects are.
