My name is Jennifer Reuchlen, and I have been a member of the BHS community since the 2011-2012 school year. I serve as the School Counselor for students with last names starting with S-Z. Additionally, I am the scholarship liaison for the Counseling Department, and I serve as a co-faculty advisor for Key Club.
I grew up in central Illinois, coming to Wisconsin to attend college and ultimately staying. In 2002, I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree from Marquette University, with majors in Psychology and Theology and a minor in French. I returned to Marquette to complete a Master of Arts Degree in Counseling, specializing in School Counseling, in 2005. Before coming to BHS, I worked five years as the School Counselor at a charter school in Milwaukee Public Schools, serving students in grades 6-12.
Between completing my undergraduate and graduate degrees, I volunteered for a year abroad in Gros Morne, Haiti. The time I spent in Haiti left an indelible mark on my outlook of life, and while the year was one of the most heartbreaking experiences of my life, it was also one of the most peaceful.
I have been married since 2004, and my husband, Ricky, and I are parents of Andrew and Theodore, both of whom are active in music, sports, and Scouts. As a family, we enjoy outdoor and indoor pursuits- such as camping, geocaching, playing board games, and cooking together.
My office number is 105C, and it is located in the Counseling Department. My phone extension is 1031, and I can be reached between 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. You can also access my email address under the staff directory on the school website.
