Helpful Information
Click here for the School Supply List.
BHS Students: Parking passes will be available for pick up after school starts. Students needing a parking pass will have to pay $100 fee and complete a vehicle registration form. High School pictures will be taken on the first day of school. As for school supplies, teachers will provide students with a list of necessary materials on the first day of class.
Bus Transportation
Bus cards with details of the student's morning and afternoon route numbers, locations, and times will be emailed beginning in August. The email will be from Thomas Bus; watch for “Bus Info” in the subject line. If there is not an email address on file in Skyward Family Access, the bus card will be mailed later in the month.
To request transportation to an alternate location due to child care, even if continuing from the previous year, please contact Thomas Bus at 262-763-7564 as soon as possible, so they can plan the bus routes accordingly. Please complete a School Bus Transportation Related to Child Care Request form and return it to Thomas Bus. This form is for families who live in a busing area. The form is also available at each school or at Thomas Bus. For other busing-related questions, please contact Thomas Bus at 262-763-7564.
Food Service Program
All students receive a free breakfast. Please deposit money into the student's account. Students will be charged for lunch, a la carte items, and/or additional meals. Weekly automated phone calls will be made to notify families who have negative balances.
Families who may qualify for free and/or reduced-price meals should complete the step for Add a Food Service Application as part of the registration process. The application will be submitted electronically. Paper forms can be found on the district's Food Service webpage and in all district buildings (English and Spanish). Completed free/reduced price school meal application forms should be submitted to the BASD District Office, 209 Wainwright Ave., Burlington WI 53105.
Technology
Every student is issued a Chromebook. Important: As part of registration, families are required to review and electronically sign that they have read and understand the Student Acceptable Use of Technology Guidelines. If a Chromebook is accidentally damaged, the damage needs to be reported. BASD will assess if the damage can be repaired by staff. If the damage is deemed intentional, the student and parents will be notified of specific charges. Schools may send home additional information about computer use as the school year begins.
Health Information
Please provide updated Immunization Records to the student's school Health Office and Individual Health Plans to the District Office on or before September 15. Complete Step 2/attach records from the Wisconsin Immunization Records or sign the waiver in Step 4 of the same form.
Annual Required Notices
Every year district families receive a packet of notices, procedures, and policies that the district is required to provide. These notices are available online at Required Notices. Paper copies of these documents are available in all district buildings.
