New to District Student Enrollment

  • The new student online enrollment process is for:

    • students moving into the district for the first time
    • students enrolling for kindergarten (4K or 5K) for the first time
    • students re-enrolling in BASD after being enrolled in another district/homeschool.
    • Starting in January, families complete new student enrollment online. This helps us to plan for how many kindergarten students BASD will join the district in the fall. Once complete, the district will confirm receipt of registration and send families required medical forms (these can be turned in anytime before the first day of school). 4K and 5K students will register and pay fees as part of the annual registration (in August).
    • A birth certificate is required to verify the student’s age. Scan it/take a picture to upload it as part of the online registration process or visit the district office (209 Wainwright Ave.) so a person can view the birth certificate.
    • 4K students need to complete program preference and an “Ages and Stages” evaluation.
    • Once a family has decided to move into the Burlington Area School District, they can enroll school-age children living in their household using online new student enrollment.

    • Click on this link to access BASD’s New Student Enrollment to set up an account. This is for students who are not enrolled in BASD.
    • Complete the form (note: an asterisk in front of the words means it is a required field).
    • When done, click on the statement “Click here to submit Online Enrollment Account Request.”
    • NOTE: If an email address was provided, an email will be sent with the family’s login and password (remember this password!). If an email address is NOT provided, a pop-up screen will open with login information.
    • Use the login and password to sign in.
    • Begin the New Student Enrollment Application Form.
    • Work through the New Student Enrollment Application forms and pages. Please carefully read the information and fill out the information requested. Some sections are required. Please complete as much information as possible that pertains to the new student, even if the information isn’t required.
    • Under Step 6 there are custom forms that need to be filled out. Some forms only pertain to specific grade levels (for example, 4K or high school). Please note which forms are required for all students.
    • When finished, click on the “Submit Application to the District.”
    • The application will be processed by a district employee. The district office will communicate that the enrollment was approved, if additional information is needed, or if (in rare cases) the enrollment application is denied.
    • Once officially enrolled, please complete required health forms (medications, physical, vision, dental, and immunization) before the first day of school. If enrolling between during the summer, annual registration and fee payment take place in August.
