“Spark Squad” (previously Summer Rec) summer program,
offers a perfect balance of structured activities and seasonal fun.

Spark Squad is where curiosity ignites and kids shine all summer long! Designed for children who completed 4K through 6th grade. This high-energy program is packed with creativity, teamwork, and fun.  Squad Challenges build leadership and teamwork through exciting group missions. Art Projects spark imagination and creativity. Spark Sessions are structured, choice-based activities where kids choose what sparks their interest. Hands-On Science brings exciting discoveries to life. Outdoor play & park walks keep everyone active and energized.  We offer daily and weekly rates, with discounts available when you register and pay for the full month or entire summer. Breakfast, lunch, and a snack are available each day. Our program is led by experienced, quality staff dedicated to creating a safe, positive, and engaging environment.  Spark Squad is open to all families — you do not need to be a Burlington resident to attend.

  • Open to all students who have completed 4K through 6th grade. This program welcomes both Burlington Area School District (BASD) residents and non-residents.

  • Open:  June 1 – August 14, 2026 
    Time:  7:00 am – 4:00 pm
    Closed: June 29 – July 3, 2026

    • June – August:  10 weeks = $1,620
    • June:  4 weeks = $675
    • July:  4 weeks = $675
    • August: 2 weeks = $360
    • Flex: 1 week = $180
    • Flex:  daily = $45

  • Yes, we offer flexible registration. You may sign up and pay as late as the day before or a week in advance; however, all registration and payment must be finalized before your student/child attends.

    No daily drop-ins.

  • Children that sign up to attend BASD Summer School will easily transition to and from Spark Squad programming because both programs are held at Karcher this year.
