Summer is calling, CED Families! 

Keep an eye on your mailbox, our Summer Booklet will be arriving at all Burlington residences and heading home with K-6 students in mid-April!

When registering for the camps and classes, the ‘GRADE LEVEL’ refers to the grade your child WILL BE ENTERING IN THE 2026/27 school year.

  • DEMONS SOFTBALL CAMPS | Grades K-8

    'PLAYERS' CAMP

    Sharpen your skills for spring and summer softball! Players will focus on proper hitting fundamentals, grip, stance, bat and hand position, and much more. Players can be sure they will take many swings during this camp. Fielding drills will work on footwork fundamentals, fielding ground balls, and throwing. Batting tees, soft toss, and pitching machines will be utilized to give all players plenty of opportunities. Players will be grouped according to grade.

    Time: 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM (check in at 8:45 AM)

    'CATCHERS' CAMP

    This camp is for all catchers looking to improve their skills, including blocking, framing, throwing, and pitch calling/signaling.

    All catchers must bring their own equipment.

    Bring to Class: Glove, Bat, Face Mask, Tennis Shoes, Cleats, and Water Bottle

    Date: Saturday, April 11th

    Time: 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM (check in at 11:45 AM)

    Sessions: 1

    Cost: $20.00

    Instructor: BHS Head Coach, Scott Behnke

    Location: Burlington High School - Outdoor Softball Fields

    Players will be grouped according to grade.

    Camps will be instructed by Burlington High School Varsity Softball Coach Scott Behnke, the Burlington High School Varsity Softball Team, and former players.

    In the case of inclement weather, camps will be held in the gymnasium in Burlington High School. Please bring both tennis shoes and cleats.

    A minimum of 15 participants must be registered for each camp to be held.

  • LITTLE HOOPERS BASKETBALL CAMP | Ages 3&4 and PreK-Kindergarten

    Get ready to dribble, run, and shoot!

    Each session of this 3-week basketball camp will be packed with games and mini-drills to keep kids moving and engaged while they learn the basics of basketball in a fun, supportive environment.

    We’ll work on dribbling, passing, shooting, and listening skills through age-appropriate drills and team activities. Campers will use kid-sized hoops and smaller basketballs so they can build confidence and experience success right away.

  • JR DEMONS CHEERLEADING TEAM TRYOUTS | Grades PreK-1 and 2-4

    Calling all future cheerleaders!

    The Community Education Department is excited to offer, for the first time, a competitive cheerleading program for elementary-aged children. The Junior Demons Cheerleading Team will give children the opportunity to explore cheer, dance, tumbling, and stunting in a structured, supportive environment. The team will begin practicing in July in preparation for competing in three local competitions during the winter months.

    The mission is to instill school spirit, build confidence, and introduce elementary athletes to the fundamentals of cheer. This program creates a strong pathway into the high school cheer program while also offering a positive, supportive environment where athletes can grow both athletically and personally.

    Athletes must register to try-out and pay the $10 try-out fee. 
    - The try-out routine will be taught on Thursday, April 16, and Friday, April 17, at Waller Elementary School.
    - A formal try-out will be held on Saturday, April 18. Athletes will be given a 30-minute tryout slot.
    - Athletes will be informed by Wednesday, April 22nd if they have been selected to be on the team.

  • DEMON BASEBALL HITTING & FIELD CAMP | Grades 1-6
     

    Sharpen your skills for spring and summer baseball and softball! Batters will learn proper hitting fundamentals, grip, stance, bat and hand position, and much more. Batters can be sure they will take many swings during this camp. Fielders will work on footwork fundamentals, fielding ground balls, and how to make a good throw. Batting tees, soft toss, and pitching machines will be utilized to give all players plenty of opportunities.  

    Check-In will begin at the baseball field at Burlington High School at 10:45 AM.    

    In the case of inclement weather, camp will be held in the gymnasium in Burlington High School.

  • 'ALL SKILLS' Volleyball Camps | Grades 3-8

    Get ready for an action-packed May with 'All Skills' Volleyball Camps at Burlington High School, featuring sessions for grades 3-5 and 6-8. Led by D1 athlete and SEC champion Molly Berezowitz, these 4-week camps focus on passing, setting, hitting, and game IQ. Register to train in a high-energy atmosphere.

Burlington Jr Demons Youth Cheer Team

  • TRYOUT INFORMATION:


    Must register on the CED website to try out. The try-out fee is $10. Please click on the link to sign up for tryouts.

    Children will learn a routine on Thursday, April 16 and Friday, April 17. Then, “tryouts” will occur on Saturday, April 18th, between 9:00 AM and Noon. Athletes will be given a 30-minute time slot in which they will try out.

  • Prior to tryouts, it’s critical that families carefully read the Jr Demon Cheer Packet/Handbook. Information regarding practices, competitions, projected costs, registration fees, and so much more can be found in the packet.

Download and print the registration form. Mail the registration form and payment to: Burlington CED, 400 McCanna Parkway, Burlington, WI 53105. Or, drop the registration form and payment off at the District Office or the Community Ed Office, located inside Burlington High School.
