Dear Parents,

Welcome to Kindergarten.  This is such an exciting time in your child’s life and possibly more exciting for the parents! The goal for all Burlington Area Students is to be college and career ready when they graduate.  To help establish this, my goal for each child in my classroom is to nurture their natural curiosity, thereby enhancing their love of learning.

I would like to give you a little information about this upcoming school year and myself.  My name is Natasha Konz.  Please feel free to call me Tasha (of course the children will call me Mrs. Konz).  I am married and have 3 children.  Ally is an 8h grade student at Karcher, Brian is in 6th grade at Dyer and Evan is 4 years old.  I have a degree in Early Childhood Education, a Master’s degree in Education, and a passion for working with young children!  I have been working with children for 26 years (12 years as a gymnastics coach and 14 years as a kindergarten teacher).

I am very excited about this upcoming year.  I feel confident that together we will all learn from each other and have a wonderful year. There are many stimulating things planned for this upcoming year.  Your child will be given many opportunities to: write, draw, create, problem solve, sing, discuss, read, and have fun!  You will hear your child talk about Kinder Camp, Daily 5, Special Helper and Morning Meeting.  As we begin these activities, I will keep you up informed through emails and/or notes home.

If at any time you have any questions about your child’s progress, please feel free to call me at school (763-0180) or email me: tkonz@basd.k12.wi.us   I will be happy to talk with you.  I look forward to hearing from you.

 Thank  you!

 Tasha Konz
