Welcome Back!

We Made It!

We made it through the first several days of school—heat and all! ☀️ Our Waller students did a great job learning their routines and building new friendships. Thank you to our amazing parents for partnering with us! We look forward to seeing everyone back and ready to learn next Tuesday!

Picture Day

School Pictures

School pictures are scheduled for Thursday, October 1st, with picture retake on Tuesday, November 3rd.  Order forms will be out soon!

The Waller Way

Waller Bear Bucks School Store

Students earn "Bear Bucks" by showing "The Waller Way" and positive behavior throughout the school day.  Students are then able to turn in their Bear Bucks at our school store a couple times a month.  We are always looking for donations to keep our school store stocked and could use your help, especially at the beginning of the year!  Popular items include:  fidgets, fruit snacks, chips, art supplies, candy, flavored drink mix packets, etc.  If you are able to donate anything, please label it "school store" and have your child bring it to school or drop it off in the office.  Thank you so much for helping our students earn incentives for positive behavior!

Get Involved in our PTO!

Get Involved & Make a Difference at Waller! 🌟
We have an incredible school year ahead, and we’re looking for extra hands, fresh ideas, and friendly faces to help make it amazing for our students and teachers. You don't need a huge time commitment—whether you can volunteer for an hour at an event or help plan behind the scenes, every little bit helps!
First PTO Meeting: Tuesday, September 15th at 5:30 PM  Stay tuned for location and meeting details!
Come out, meet other parents, share your ideas, and let’s work together to make this year the best one yet. We can’t wait to see you there! ❤️

Parent Square Communication

Parent Square Communication: As we begin the new school year, please take a moment to review your Parent Square Communication Settings. There are 2 options:
  1. DIGEST - All communication will be sent together at 6pm each evening. This setting reduces the number of notifications you receive throughout the day and you can expect one notification per day.
  2. INSTANT - Communication will be sent instantly and you will receive multiple notifications throughout the day/week.
IMPORTANT: All important alerts or school safety notifications will  be sent instantly regardless of your settings (i.e. school closures).

Looking to Volunteer?

Volunteer & Chaperone Opportunities
We love having families and community members volunteer in our schools and join us as chaperones for field trips! If you are interested in volunteering or chaperoning this school year, please complete your required background check before the school year begins. Completing your background check now will ensure you are eligible and ready to participate when opportunities arise throughout the school year. Thank you for helping us create safe and welcoming experiences for our students! LINK to application

End-of-Day Transportation Changes

Please be aware of an important change regarding guest riders at the end of the school day. If your student is riding the bus home with another student they must obtain a pass from the main office. This pass will only be issued when written, emailed, or verbal permission has been given for the parent or guardian to the school’s main office. Additionally, a fee of $1.00 will also be collected for students who do not have an assigned bus route and need transportation.
GO Riteway and BASD will be strictly enforcing the guest rider policy. Students must have an approved guest rider bus pass slip from the main office in order to ride a bus other than their assigned bus.
If a student does not have a guest rider pass, the driver will either send the student back to the office or direct them to ride their assigned bus home. Buses will not wait while a student returns to the office to obtain a pass.
Guest rider passes must be issued through the main office. A fee of $1.00 will also be collected for students who do not have an assigned bus route and need transportation.
We appreciate your help in making sure students have the proper pass before dismissal to help keep afternoon transportation running smoothly.
