District Departments
Burlington Area School District departments oversee the operations for the District. The following departments are here to serve the District's students, staff, and families as well as the greater community.

Administration - The Superintendent's office and department directors provide support District-wide.
Building and Grounds - Provides a clean, safe, and healthy environment for learning through building custodial, grounds, and maintenance staff.
Business Services - Oversees business operations such as budget planning and management, employee pay and benefits, buildings and grounds, food service, and student transportation.
Teaching & Learning - Drives academic growth and success.
Food Services - Provides nutritious meals throughout the school-day.
Health Services - Enables students to achieve optimal health and wellness by providing health services, health education, and striving for a healthy environment through registered nurses and health aides.
Human Resources - Directs employment resources
Pupil Services - This department assists all students in being their most successful. School Counselors are educators licensed to address all students’ academic, career, and personal/social development needs. Special Education meets the academic, social, emotional, physical, and/or communication needs of individual children to give them tools to progress in a respectful and nurturing environment in order to participate as fully as possible in their community.
Technology - The technology department supports and promotes the use of educational technology in the classroom.
Transportation - The District has contracts with bus companies to provide bus transportation.
