BASD CHROMEBOOK SERVICE

Students are responsible for avoidable damage to the district Chromebook issued to them or damages they are responsible for inflicting on another student’s device.

DAMAGED CHROMEBOOK
Chromebook fees for avoidable damage repairs for the 2024-2025 school year: 
-lost or destroyed = $170
-physical damage (includes missing keys) = $25
-lost or damaged charger = $20
-sticker removal = $10
-replacement barcode = $1

CHROMEBOOK CORD/CHARGER
All students are issued a cord/charger with their device. 

TOTAL LOSS
If the Chromebook is damaged beyond repair, lost, stolen, or unreturned to the school, the partial replacement value of the Chromebook, $170.00, will be assessed as a fine.

CHROMEBOOKS RETURNED TO THE DISTRICT
There will be a $25.00 fee levied for Chromebooks returned defaced; this includes stickers, paint, permanent ink, and any other such defacement to the case, screen or keyboard. 

PAYMENT
Payments for damaged devices can be completed online through the Skyward fee portal. Other payment arrangements can be made through your students’ school office.
