My Name is Kevin Fay. I grew up in Burlington, Wisconsin and have returned to my home town to teach chemistry and physics. I grew up near Brown's Lake and spent most of my childhood swimming and playing in the neighborhood. I attended Burlington High School from 1981-1985. I was involved in many things at BHS. I was in swing choir and was a member of the Marching Demons. I was active on the stage. I acted in "Arsenic and Old Lace" with Mrs. Verhagen. I was also in a production of "Bye Bye Birdie".
After high school, I left Burlington for the big city. I went to UW-Madison to attend college. I love Madison. What a great city with so much to do. I was in Letters and Science (undecided) until my junior year. Nothing like waiting until the last minute. I loved working in the chemistry labs, and I liked my education courses, so, I decided to add two plus two. Teach chemistry.
I practicum taught at Monona Grove High School and Student taught at Middleton High School. I was a substitute teacher for two years before I got the job at Burlington. I have now been here for thirty two years. I have finished my master's degree at UW-River Falls in the teaching of physics. I wrote my paper on the integration of algebra into chemistry and physics at the high school level.
