Midwest Adaptive Climbing Club - For kids with physical disabilities. The Midwest Adaptive Climbing club is a new program offered by Adaptive Adventures in partnership with Adventure Rock Indoor Climbing Gym.
Midwest Adaptive Climbing provides opportunities for persons with physical disabilities and their loved ones to enjoy the sport and lifestyle of climbing. Climbing is an activity which can be easily adapted to almost any ability level, and it fosters an amazing sense of community, trust, courage and accomplishment. As many of our participants can understand, the metaphor of climbing is appropriate for breaking through perceived barriers and summiting new challenges. Whether you have an amputation, spinal cord injury, visual impairment or limited mobility due to CP, SB, MS, MD or other physical conditions, we have opportunities for you to experience or excel in sports. We are currently offering programs for both children (ages eight and above) and adults.
