The Women, Infants, and Children Program (WIC) provides supplemental nutritious food, nutrition information, breastfeeding information, and referral to other health and nutrition services in order to help keep pregnant and breastfeeding women, infants and children under five years of age healthy and strong. The purpose of the WIC program is to promote and maintain the health and well-being of nutritionally at-risk pregnant, breastfeeding, and postpartum women, as well as infants and children.
