BHS Bands
There are several band ensembles that serve as BHS classes and perform throughout the year. Beyond the band courses, the program offers numerous opportunities for students to learn, perform, make friends, and even travel.

B*JAZZled
BHS’s Competitive Show Choir performs and competes musical routines throughout the year usually in the evenings and on weekends. Students must be in a choir class. Practices are typically held twice a week in the evenings for 2 1/2 hours and on some Sunday afternoons closer to competitions. Auditions are held in the spring for the following year. See Ms. Yanke for more info.
Forensics
Forensics is the art and science of competitive public speaking across high schools and university in the U.S. It merges interpretive speaking (theater, poetry, etc.) with public speaking (persuasion, demonstration, special occasion, etc.). It's also a Team of Positive people to "forensicate!" Club meetings Saturday mornings from December to march for an hour. See Mr. Nie or Ms. Twohig to sign up.
Koral Klub
For students in a choir class. Koral Klub sponsors the variety show and travels to various locations (NYC, Chicago, Orlando, LA, etc.) for performances. The club meets at least twice a month. See Ms. Yanke for more info.
Spring Play
The Spring Play is always a great opportunity to participate in a play for fun. It is not a competition and it is usually something a bit different. Actors have a chance that they might not have elsewhere. Meetings are typically on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for 90 minutes. There are two public performances. Auditions and a minimum GPA are needed. See Mr. Thompson for more information.
Musical
We produce a full-scale Broadway-style musical every year. Rehearsals are after-school/evenings and on weekends before the performances. Students can audition for a role or volunteer for backstage duties. See Ms. Yanke for more info.
National Art Honor Society
The National Art Honor Society is open to all students who have a passion for art, even if they are not enrolled in an art class. NAHS provides opportunities for art making, leadership, college and career preparation, and community service. The club meets a few times a month during advisory starting in the Fall. $5.00 membership dues are required. See Ms. McCanna for more information.
One Act Play
This fall activity prepares a 40-minute One Act play for a public performance at BHS and for competition with the Wisconsin Interscholastic Speech and Dramatic arts Association festival series with the goal of attending and competing at the State Festival (the weekend before Thanksgiving). We have a proud tradition of excellence among our entire company: actors, crew, and student leadership. Rehearsals are typically after school (Tues, Wed, Thurs) for about 90 minutes. Auditions are open to everyone during the first week of school and crew members are always needed. See Mrs. Fidler for more information.

Students can start at any point with individual training and/or completion of the broadcasting class. We meet during free study hall or after school for a radio shift. . Sign up at the station.
