Many of you are likely meeting with your future college or university in the next couple of weeks to talk about courses for the fall. Colleges can use an unofficial transcript during this orientation and you can assure them that you’ve followed the steps below in order to make sure they get your final and official documents during the summer. Right now, you have access to your unofficial transcript via your Skyward portal in the Portfolio tab and attachments. These transcripts were uploaded after grades were finalized once Semester 1 was completed. Official transcripts will not be released until all grades are added, typically in the last two weeks of June. Below are the steps to request your transcript(s):
High School transcript:
- Can access your transcript showing final grades for Semester 1 in Skyward Family/Student Access → Portfolio Tab → Attachments
- This is what you can take with you to your orientation if it is prior to when grades will be finalized here at BHS
- Request your official transcript through Parchment.com (transcripts are free of charge until July 31st – after that there is a fee–so request as soon as possible)
- You can request as many as you need. We recommend:
- One to send right now (official transcript showing end of Semester 1 grades)
- One where you indicate “Hold for Grades” which means they will automatically be sent once the transcripts and grades are finalized for the year (end of June)
- As soon as grades are added from this semester, transcripts will be released.
Dual Credit Transcripts:
If you took classes that earned you credit at a college while in high school, please follow the appropriate links below:
CAPP / PIE / PACC classes
If you were enrolled in a CAPP/PIE/PACC class, you will need to officially request a transcript from the institution that you received the credit from. Below are the links for UW-Whitewater (PIE), UW-Parkside (PACC), UW-Oshkosh(CAPP).
gateway
- For classes taken at Gateway through Transcripted Credit, Start College Now, or a Gateway Academy, request your official transcript from Gateway Technical College here
Early College Credit Program
- You will need to request an official transcript from the university that you completed courses at. You can do so by visiting that university’s website and using the search tool with the words “transcript”. If you have any difficulties with finding a link, you can call the college registrar’s office and they can assist you.
AP Scores
- For official score reports, you must go into your College Board account and request for your final scores to be sent to the college that you’ve chosen to attend. Seniors can send 1 free score report if completed prior to June 20th.
- AP Scores from this year’s AP exam administration are released in July even if you request prior to June 20th.
ACT Scores
To send an official ACT Score report (if you need it for scholarships or for enrollment into your college), please visit MyACT.org to go through your account or create an account to request your scores be sent to your college/post-secondary institution.
